Earl Teemer:
(guitarist, lead & background vocals, songwriter and arranger)
You’ve heard
his guitar talents on Timothy Wright’s 1989 “Live Concert”, “Albert
Jamison & Triboro Returns, 1997 and “Worldwide Gospel Recording label’s
Christmas CD”. Earl’s vast experiences as a guitarist for various
quartets, traditional & contemporary choirs are a tremendous asset to
the group. He has created a seamless blending guitar sound that
encompasses it all. Teemer says “I’ve finally found a home for all
of my guitar experiences; and I’ve even stretched out by contributing as
a songwriter and arranger”.
Darren Perry:
(lead and background vocalist, songwriter)
Perry also
started out very young, lending his vocal talents to various Gospel
groups in the NY area. His traditional yet contemporary vocal and
songwriting style has been a catalyst for the group’s choice of
material. “Gospel music should be a source of enlightenment for its
listeners” says Perry. “As a gospel singer, I make the commitment to
share the goodness of God’s work through song. "I’ve made a vow" as an
old song, says that "I will tell it on the mountain top, in the
valley low, and everywhere I go, that Jesus saves”!
Ivan Jackson:
(bass guitarist, lead and background vocalist, songwriter and arranger)
This third
generation guitarist was introduced to traditional and quartet gospel
styles along with the commitment to Christ by his father. “I
came from a family of singing, guitar playing and praying folks,” says
Jackson! My twin brother and I were singing in a family gospel group
with our father, two sisters and older brother as soon as we could
speak; you couldn’t get away from the all night gospel jam sessions if
you wanted to”! One of his most memorable experiences was during
the period of ’79-82 when he and his twin brother performed and recorded
with Carl Davis (formerly of the legendary Swan Silvertones and present
lead vocalist for gospel's premier quartet, the Dixie Hummingbirds).
Jackson enjoys creating new ways to deliver the message. He lends great
versatility to the group as a musician, songwriter and vocalist. He
contributes a strong sense of maturity and commitment to the group’s
mission.
Lance Bovain:
(drummer, background vocals)
This versatile
gospel musician also grew up in the church and played drums for several
local NY area groups. He is the newest member to the group, adding his
influences of traditional quartet with a contemporary feel on drums as
well as vocal harmonies. “Being a member of this ministry has
allowed me and my music to be free. It has taken me to another level of
worship; I give God all the glory, honor and praise”
A group of
young men coming from various church backgrounds and gospel music
influences (traditional, quartet, choir, contemporary) uniting as
Brothers In Christ!
